Day 4 of the MLB Lockout 2021

There is essentially no new news for Day 4 of the MLB Lockout. It looks like this lockout could stretch into Spring Training and affect the 2022 season.

The President of the AFL-CIO, the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations which is the largest federation of unions in the United States, chimed in on the MLB lockout.

Last night, @MLB management showed their true colors: They would rather lock out their players & shut down a sport beloved by millions than agree to a contract that would benefit not only the players, but the game as a whole.

However, the comments under the post were a bit … divisive to say the least.

You're WAY off base. The spoiled baseball players have it MADE, but they just keep wanting more & more. There is NO similarity between MLBPA members & hard-working American union workers.

You're a idiot. So they're just supposed to bow down to the players? I'm not either side as neither cares about the fans. They just want more money. MLB absolutely needs a cap. And players don't deserve guaranteed contracts. The toughest sport to play football doesn't.

Time will tell how long this lockout lasts, but for now it seems there is a stalemate and neither side wants to budge.
