The industry can be tough for minorities, and Alex has had her fair share of tough situations, which is why she decided to be the resource for those in the space who have been consistently discriminated against.
She holds a BBA in Marketing and a JD from Texas A&M University and Texas A&M University School of Law, respectively. She has been an in-house counsel for a famous sports family in Dallas, a multinational company, various startups, and most recently a professional sports team. She is also a contributor to USA TODAY Sports Media Group’s NFL Wire sites. Alex’s background in law, sport, and business allows her to see unique solutions and to craft innovative and proactive plans.
“I am an expert generalist which means I am able to work in seemingly disparate industries and excel. When a client comes to me with a problem, I can see it from a unique angle and then provide insights they never thought about before. But, being a woman or minority in the industry can be extremely difficult and there are often opportunities that we aren’t considered for because of inherent bias. That’s why I decided to build this business so I can help those who have been consistently underrepresented in the space get a foothold and excel. And now that student athletes can now monetize their name, image, and likeness, there is even more of a need for competent counsel than ever,” Sinatra shared about her new business.
There are many athletes, businesses, and front office personnel who don’t have anyone to go to when solving complex problems. While the sport and esport industries are changing to be more equitable, diverse, and inclusive, there is still not parity in many areas. Sinatra aims to fix that problem by building a community of clients that are more empowered, skilled, and confident to achieve their fullest potential in business and life.
She has recently advised professional athletes on negotiation tactics, esports personalities, collegiate athletes on NIL, WNBA franchise on expanding their brand, and a new roller derby league on how to structure their business from the ground up. Her services include business building, negotiation training, name image and likeness consulting for universities and student athletes, among other strategies.
